POTAFIORI

Inconspicuously nestled among pastel coloured buildings on an unassuming street is a place where you can have lunch in a flower shop - need I say more to entice you? Flowers and food are two things guaranteed to put a smile on my face. Extra points if they're both present at the same time, which is precisely why Potafiori is the one place that I recommend to everyone visiting Milano. This flower shop, restaurant, cocktail bar and live music lounge hybrid always has something to offer everyone, even if you're not there to grab a bite (you really should though). Just as the variety of flowers that they sell, their menu full of fresh, seasonal ingredients is always changing according to the time of year. During my recent trip to Milan, the dishes that made it to the table included a fresh garden salad topped with edible flowers, a steamy soufflé, seafood conchiglie, gnocchi in cream sauce and an exceptionally divine mango panna cotta. I just drooled a little while typing that out. Add this one to your bucket list, kids. It's worth it.                Potafiori is located at Via Salasco 17,...

FOLLOW YOUR HEART

Melody Tan for Self-Portrait. Between stressing out over shifting gears on uphill roads and getting lost from our over-dependence on technology, it's a miracle Melody and I made it to Sussex and back in one piece. The agenda for the day was to gawk at one of the most glorious natural landscapes in England - the Seven Sisters Cliffs. And to create some beautiful imagery. It was a success on both counts. Lots of oohs and aahs were involved.  This little road trip was a timely reminder to always follow your heart. When you do what you love, you will love what you do. Cheesy, eh? But it's so true. As with any kind of plan, even when things don't necessarily go wrong, we somehow end up face to face with some kind of obstacle. And there were many itty bitty hurdles we had to jump across that day. But when I finally got home late that night, exhausted in bed, I just smiled to myself. I was happy. I wasn't thinking about the difficulties we faced. I was thinking about our accomplishments, about the breathtaking sights we saw, about how much I enjoy taking photos. When you're investing effort into something you're passionate about, something you love, it makes it all that much easier to focus on the positive, rather than the negative. In turn, you'll be welcoming more positivity into your life. Instead of complaining, you'll feel grateful and #blessed. I'm no expert, but I think that's how we should all live our lives - happy. Is that too much to ask for? Shot at Seven Sisters Country Park, Sussex. PHOTOGRAPHY // Faiyaz KoliaMODEL // Melody TanWARDROBE //...

RISING ABOVE

HERMÈS prêt-à-porter automne-hiver 2016-2017  As promised, I present to you my favourite moments from Hermès during PFW (read the full story at the Fashionide). Let's begin with Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski... there's so much I could say about this woman. Even more than that are the things I want to say to her. Why are you so chic? Will you be my friend? Are you a model? The designer herself may look like a Madonna right out of a renaissance painting, but her design aesthetic at Hermès is updated to the minute. Minimal with maximum effect. Meticulous, yet nonchalant. Ultra luxurious, but not loud. Let's not forget her past experience at The Row, Maison Margiela and Céline - this lady has some serious guns in her armoury. She may not be a big personality like her predecessors at the French powerhouse, but she's definitely rising above her contemporaries and making her mark. On the runway, I couldn't help but marvel at the silhouettes and forms of the clothes as they floated by. Up close at the showrooms, I could have buried my nose in every little detail. And the accessories... oh my god. I'll take all of them in every kind of leather, in every colour. Thanks. In other news, I know this update is a little late, but it's better than never, no? There's nothing more I want to do than share my experiences with you, but sometimes inspiration runs dry or life gets in the way. Believe me, there are so many posts lined up waiting in my drafts folder (over a dozen), but for me, quality trumps quantity. I'd rather share a well executed story where I have something to say, rather than spew out...

NIÇOISE

If you've been following me on Snapchat and Instagram, you'll know that I've been on a whirlwind of a journey through Spain, bouncing from city to city. Last night we finally arrived in the French Riviera and I was able to take a breather - along the unbelievably blue coastline. No wonder they call it Côte d'Azur. Here's a quick little check-in before I spend the rest of the day exploring the Vieille Ville, or Old Town of Nice - a pastel-coloured paradise of converging streets, alive with the aromas and sounds of the Mediterranean. À bientôt!            Shot along the Mediterranean coast at Promenade des Anglais in Nice, France.     Photo assistance - Claudia Naomi   Wearing: & Other Stories - Shirt // H&M - Shorts //  El Corte Inglés - Leather drawstring bag // Tod's - Gommini driving slider // Céline - Audrey...
